An increasing environmental awareness led in the past years and decades to the fact that an increasing market for all kinds of teas from biological cultivation developed. During production of the teas, ingredients and flavours the use of pesticids, artificial fertilizers as well as genetically altered organisms is avoided. Pest control takes place e.g. by use of natural enemies. This kind of management is more complex and throws off smaller yields, so that teas from biological cultivation are also more expensive. In order to be allowed to deal in teas from biological cultivation certification is required which is attached to strict impositions from cultivation down to retail. Our control number: DE-ÍKO-039
